Just read the latest issue of MaximumPC. Good little magazine for those of us that like to get into the guts of our personal pc. They cover hardware and software.
The article of note covered the recovery and restoration of deleted files. Their program of choice is Piriform Recuva, and it can be found here - http://goo.gl/iCFF. It might be worthwhile to have it loaded on your PC, just in case. It's free!
