New GCRVCUG (Gold Canyon RV Computer User Group) Blog

I've separated the GCRVCUG function from this site and have set up a unique blog for the Group.  It's address is http://gcrvcug.blogspot.com.  I'm trying to get the urls "gcrvcug.com" and "gcrvcomputer.com" redirected to the new blog, but having difficulty with the first one.  Maybe by the time you read this, it will have succeeded.

PUPs - Potentially Unwanted Programs

I use Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware Program on a daily basis.  Recently, I've noticed many pop-ups letting me know if there are coupons available for any of the items shown on the web page.  Also, other pop-ups happen if my mouse happens to get close to these items.  Coincidentally, the Anti-Malware Programs began identifying "pups...." as somthing I might want to quarantine.  So, I've done that, but it keeps reappearing.  I finally read what malwarebytes says on the subject -

The "pup" I'm getting has something to do with "superfish".  More investigation is required, but it might be associated with a tracking technology that now has latched onto my chrome browser (it happens on all my devices - probably because Chrome syncs to all).

I'm curious to know if others have a similar situation.

RAM booster are bad?

I've used apps that clear cache and other things for performance improvement on my Android devices.  Many experts say that is the worst thing to do, but it has always appeared to improve performance.

So, based on this article - http://goo.gl/nahnDa - I've removed them and forged ahead.  Maybe they're right - I'm not sure I can tell Android is really taking care of itself or not, but performance seems to be the same.

If you're using performance enhancing drugs programs, try deleting them and see what happens.
