Girls Lurch Again

This picture says it all.  BTW, the guys are blue.

No, the picture does not say it all.  The guys have to admit that most of the girls' questions were extremely easy.

Conversely, the guys questions were very obscure:  What is the first sense humans are aware of?  Who was Royce's partner (and who the heck was Royce?)? What celestial body has a circumference of 864,000 miles?

These were tough questions for the guys.  And, it didn't help that the girls appeared to be a little more inebriated!

OCGG

Now that I'm no longer in Park Sales, much free time has been created!  Let's resume the Computer Discussion Group of yore, here at beautiful Gold Canyon RV & Golf Resort.  This meeting of techie-types will be called the Old Computer Geek Group (OCGG) and will only be open to residents of the Resort.  Tell your friends and neighbors!

The intent of the OCGG is not to hold classes (those are available by several talented instructors in the Computer Lab), but rather have round (or square) table discussions/presentations on a variety of technical topics.  Problem resolution will be a normal byproduct of these discussions.

Thursday mornings are my choice for the meeting time.  Input on this is cheerfully accepted.

TP

I forgot to mention the results of the last Trivial Pursuit game.  The women lurched into the lead with 4 pies BEFORE the men even got started.  But, I'm proud to say THE GUYS WIN AGAIN!  Now I know this will not continue to happen, but it sure is fun so far.

Employment

Today was my last day in Sales at Roberts Resorts. A few weeks back, the Park owners decided that no employee would be able to also provide a house caretaker function for the residents. So, I had to decide to stop one of these activities. Since we plan to spend most of our time in the Park AND we needed to keep busy during the Summer - I chose to be a caretaker. We're hoping the income decrease will not have a detrimental effect on our chosen lifestyle.

I had fun in Sales, and will miss that experience, but Caretaking will give me the opportunity to assist Donna in her new position as Activities Director during the Season, plus keep me busy in the Summer. A win-win situation?

More HDR

Head to this link for some HDR photos of today.

I'm thinking of providing custom photos of a resident's home here in the valley. Maybe something that can be used as a card or postcard. Just something to keep me busy.
